The RS50 Motor.

At 506 HP the RS50 motor is the most powerful Racing Dynamics engine to date, and its 101HP/liter puts it in the top 1% of all naturally aspirated motors to be fitted in a passenger car.

Revised internal components allow the RS50 to reach a staggering 8.800 -1/min.  New camshafts, a revised valvetrain with larger exhaust valves, and higher profile cams, allow the RS50 to breathe better and pass the 500 HP mark with ease.

The RS50 includes an exhaust with tubular manifolds, X-Flow downpipe, and rear silencers.

98 octane petrol is recommended.

The Power System for the M5.

  Tubular Exhaust Manifold Type III

The Racing Dynamics RS Tubular  Exhaust Manifolds are the most performing headers available for your M5. Its tuned, equal length primaries are dimensioned for optimal torque increase and feature CNC flanges for a consistently correct fit.

Designed for the awesome RS50 Motor, these units will give your stock M5 a consistent boost in performance that exceeds 40 HP if using a performance-matched EMS.   If installed alone, you will still experience a 31 Hp gain.

Type III have been modified to address some clearance issues on year 2000 model cars.  They are now the easier to install. (Note downpipes in picture are Type I).

Sport Exhaust Header.

Our Sport Exhaust Headers are hand-built stainless steel units that replace the OE headers and offer better flow and increased performance, while retaining the stock mounting flanges of the catalytic converters.

The primaries are 2mm wider than stock and all interior welds are cleaned and de-burred for optimal flow.

MIG welded for superior durability, the Racing Dynamics Sport Exhaust Headers deliver an average 12 HP to the performance of your M5.

X-Flow Downpipe.

The X-Flow downpipe is a fee flow connection pipe that features a crossover section that promotes scavenging, and thus, torque.

Sport Rear Silencers.

Quad pipes exude performance, but the original tips of the M5 are quite small and unobtrusive.  Some customers consider them outright wimpy, and the original exhaust tone is almost undistinguishable from that of a standard 530i.

The Racing Dynamics Sport Silencers deliver additional performance, and take care of the sound and the looks at the same time.

The silencers are constructed out of 100% stainless steel, with free-flowing 50mm inner pipes that reduce the backpressure and deliver the sound that the M5 justly deserves: a deep, throaty growl that is never annoying, but shows that you mean business. 

As if this wasn't enough, our stainless steel chromed tips are 85x92mm, with rolled edges and make the M5 look like it has twice the power of the standard version.

  Hyperformance Velocity Stacks.

These replacement velocity stacks are a direct replacement for the stock plastic intake runners that are sandwiched inside the plenum.   

The shorter length and wider section are designed to deliver that additional top end punch.  A must when installing the Sport Camshafts.

Sport Air Filter.

Our Dacron® Sport Air Filter has better particle retention than the standard aftermarket filters that are made of oiled cotton gauze. It also has half the maintenance, as the filter does not require messy oiling that can eventually damage the Mass Air Flow sensor.

Combine this with 15% better flow characteristics, and it is clear why Racing Dynamics Sport Air Filters are preferred by most BMW drivers who are serious about performance.

Engine Management Software.

Download a revised Engine Management Software for crisper throttle response, higher peak output and a noticeable increase in torque.  98 Octane fuel recommended.
